About

For 30 years I have sought answers, through various practices,  to the bigger picture of life and to the inner picture of my own life.  In 2001, I was given a card with the image of a Labyrinth on it and at the time didn’t know what it was or what it represented, but something inside me stirred.  Within a year, I had built my first Labyrinth on my parents farm in rural Ontario.  Despite the heavy work involved, I barely noticed it was one of the hottest summers I had experienced in my life.  It was a labour of love.

It was magical to behold the feelings invoked in people who later walked it, from tears to joy, a wide spectrum.  I knew then that the real power of the Labyrinth lay not only in the physical beauty of its winding paths but in its ability to allow people to connect to themselves in a safe and natural way, through their heart.

Since then the Labyrinth has woven its way into my life in many ways and forms.  I have built two other large Labyrinths on private land and each one was a beautiful experience of learning.  Creating a Labyrinth invokes the energies of all who have built and walked Labyrinths throughout history.  As you place a stone, someone has done that very motion before on the same part of a Labyrinth somewhere else in the world.  You feel the support of the past as you stay in the present moment and as you stay present, you are putting your energy into your creation.  So it is important to be aware of your thoughts and energies as you are creating, so that the final entity will be a positive and powerful experience for those who enter to walk.
